Through the implementation of critical thinking, daring exploration, and analysis my students collaboratively critique our world, voice thoughts on current issues, and explore identity through self-expression and innovative art making. As artists with meaningful voices, my students are encouraged to engage with content that prepares them to be engaged global citizens.

"Elemental Affect" highlights a high school sculpture I unit plan that explores how line, shape, and color can be used to abstractly generate affect in a relief sculpture.
"Social Justice Summer Camp: Alexandre Orion" recounts a lesson on reverse graffiti inspired by artist Alexandre Orion that provided students with an opportunity to publicly voice their thoughts on contemporary social justice issues in a summer camp sponsored by Florida State University.
